1971 Mercedes-Benz 250 CE Pillarless Coupe W114
1971 Mercedes-Benz 250 CE Pillarless Coupe
A UK car found stored in a garage in southern Spain where it has sat for over 25 years…
This was bought over here by Mr Greenwich in the mid 1970s, it had one former keeper before him. In the 1980s he retired, moved to Spain and took his beloved Mercedes-Benz 250 CE Coupe with him. Whilst over there he decided to change the original colour of Blue to White and the car is in fact still registered as Blue on the DVLA Database. We have been told it was used regularly right up until the early 90s.
Unfortunately we have no docs but it does come with a set of keys. You will be able to send off for a V5 with a V62 form.
The engine is free and will run with a bit of tinkering, the gearbox is present and the car is very complete.
The interior in very good condition for its age with good seats and the headlining is good. It will need new carpets, the dashboard has age related cracks and the door card pockets have been removed.
Due to being in such a dry climate the body and chassis is in good condition overall with only decay to the boot floor and both the drivers and passenger footwells. The paint has also cracked on the passenger rear wheel arch (You can view detailed photos on our website that show the issues)
The wheels are all free and it comes with all the original hub caps.
Unfortunately no docs but it does come with a set of keys. You will be able to send off for a V5 with a V62 form.
Overall this is a very rare opportunity to purchase a 2 former keeper W114 coupe that is in need of some work but it makes for an excellent investment opportunity.
